How long does Clipper take to work?

I started Clipper because I had a stubborn bit of blood that wasn't going away even with 5-ASA enemas.

I've now been on Clipper for just a little over 3 weeks and have another 3 weeks to go, however I can still see a bit of blood in my stools. Is it normal for Clipper to be this slow acting?

I started taking Feramax iron supplements around the same time I started clipper, but I've temporarily stopped the iron supplements because they were causing annoying constipation.

Is it ok to take iron supplements along with 5-ASA and Clipper? I don't take the medications together, but I'm still wondering if iron supplements can exacerbate symptoms when we're flaring. It certainly seems that way to me, and the leaflet inside the box says the same thing.

I stopped the iron supplements and the bleeding seems to have stopped. Don't know if that's just a coincidence, but so far so good.
