New Member needs diet advice

Hey all, I'm new here. Was diagnosed in June during a 5 day hospital stay with ischemic colitis. It was scary. I had got up from sleep to go to the bathroom and everything started fine but during I got a severe pain so bad I was double over in agony. I had to go by ambulance to the hospital. When I got there I started bleeding witch was full of pus. It was gross to say the least. Anyway. I left with being told to use Miralax 2x a day and a low residue diet and told to not get constipated. After my follow up, I tried to increase my fiber again but my body rebelled, so I went to soft foods again. My poop has been mushy since then. They're more like wet farts than anything. How long does this last this way. Don't get me wrong, I'd rather they be soft than constipation, and I wouldn't consider it diarrhea because I only go once or twice so I'm ok so far. My condition is complicated by 2 hernias and adhesions from a ruptured appendix. I also have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, which slows everything down. Does stool ever bulk up again or will it stay this way.

NO, I'm no longer bleeding. Ischemic colitis is when the blood supply to the colon is compromised in some way. I have 2 hernias and many adhesion from a ruptured appendix years earlier. I also Have the low thyroid so everything is slow in my system, but mainly because of it, somethings I eat cause my intestines to swell or I get constipated and the saga continues. A repair surgery has been discussed. I just had a follow up with another appointment in 3 months with CAT scan to see how I'm doing.

Isn't ischemic colitis curable?
