Hi,
Do you think I should try and take it with food, because I wasn’t because that’s what I read To do. Or not even risk the liver evaluation?
What’s a good comparable medication? I have ulcers throughout, mainly on left.
I need to be on something ASAP.

You stopped taking your medication? Is that what you're saying?
I don't think it matters if you take your mesalamine with or without food.
Lialda is similar to Asacol and you can get a generic for it that is cheaper and just as good.

I don't think taking it with food or without will change how your liver processes it. What does your doctor say? So sorry you have been riding this roller coaster with your meds lately.

Have you ever tried Colazal? If you can tolerate the enemas but not asacol, it might be the coating that you are allergic to.
Don't mess with your liver!

I went to ER last night because of this sharp pain from my neck to side, had a CT scan and they said I was full of poop! Never had this happen! Test showed “abundant stool is present throughout the cecum, ascending, redundant traverse colon. “
What’s this mean here..”.desending colon starting at the splenic flexure is relatively collapsed. stratification of the wall of the descending colon and sigmoid is noted. Mild edema is noted of the lower sigmoid colon and rectal ampulla.”
“No evidence of pnematosis of the bowel wall”
Thanks
Took marilax, waiting on my Colace , benefiber is my game plan.

Good you don't have this.
Sounds like blockage. Stratification is thickening by whatever source.
Really....talk with a surgeon just to get the info. It would be better than you needing emergency or life-threatening removal.
What you are going through is extremely worrying.

I agree with q. Please speak to someone - you don't have to make any decision you can just get information. Seems like you've been struggling for such a long time. You could have been living a healthy life, free of drugs expenses, and doctors. Of course surgery is not all rosy, you would empty more daily (not more than a person with active inflammation), but you would be free to live your life without chronic symptoms and without long-term fear of cancer developing.

Yes much better, took about
4days of fiber and laxatives and lots of poop but all my pain is gone!!. I talk to my doctor tomorrow , maybe a new medication.?
All my poop iS back to being a normal color no longer green! That’s amazing, being backed up can that make you have green diareeah? Someone thought fast transit time, but actually it wasn’t . My CT scan showed backed up with stool.
Thanks for asking!!!

Definitely worried about
you. I'd say explore all options before you with an
open mind. You need a solution. Good luck
