The suppository should go past your sphincter. I try to push it up as much as possible and then sort of "suck in" like I am trying to hold in a poop just to make sure it is fully past my sphincter. Sleep how you want. Most of us are "insert and go" people -- I pop it in after the shower and get dressed and do my morning routine without issue, or alternatively, just before bed and I move around a lot when I sleep. Your body heat will start to melt it pretty soon after insertion, so it is not stiff for very long, and it doesn't seep out. My guess is that because it is new, you are paying so much attention to it that you are in tune with even the tiniest of changes, but once you relax and aren't worried about it coming out, you won't even notice it.
