first little journey last night since surgeries

Well my 2 younger kids are home from college and i usually get tickets for hockey[New York Rangers] game at Madison Sq Garden right before Xmas. I live on Western Long Island which isn't far from Manhattan.Now in years past i wouldn't eat the day we were going to game bc of U.C. We take train into city which is a 30-40 minute ride,One year coming home i had a bad urge and thought i would poop right on train which happened to be packed like sardines[can u feel the anxiety?].Well yesterday was my first real i have no control of stopping/going if i felt the need to go,Even though i have had surgery my pre UC days kind of scar/scare you bc of accidents u have had in past.Everything went well,ate only light breakfast so ride in was fine.At game i had hot dog and 2 pretzels plus Large Sierra Mist[no caffeine] and train home was fine.I think of Valli who has done the plane thing since surgery and each experience we take on as far as traveling gives us more confidence.If u have a traveling after surgery story let us know.Have a great holiday

Prob too late as far as lifting being i have hernia and will have surgery #4 in January.Life goes on and ill be fine.Have a great holiday

Glad to hear you had a good day with hockey + hot dog (yum), Champ!!!!! Not a GI-related story, but 55-ish cousin of mine had a nasty time due to detached retina/post-surgery eye inflammation in early fall. Then during T-Day weekend he got to see his 14 yr-old daughter break the tie her girls' hockey team found themselves in at regionals in Hyannis, MA. She shot 2 consecutive goals-- so her team medalled!!!!! Proud dad captured this on video & e-mailed to me, yay! / Old Hat (38 yrs with left-sided UC; presently in remission taking brandname Colazal)
