Hey guys, I saw this on a list of American holidays. Is it an actual holiday where you get a day off work?

Some get off, some don't.One of those not everyone gets off,most work i would think

It depends on if you are in a state where it is observed as a holiday. If so, then it is likely that it would result in a holiday at your place of work.

We call it indigenous peoples day here. I think we usually work on that day.

For private-sector (that is non-government) workers, it's a normal work day. For public-sector (those who work for state or federal government) workers, it is usually a day off from work. My dear wife has worked in the past as a federal worker and now is a state government worker and she usually gets thay day off from work.
