Yes, it’s okay.
Everytime I had a left side flare my GI askes me to do enema twice, in the morning and at bed time

Usually My GI askes me to do it twice a day until the blood and mucus stop, usually for couple weeks, then once at bed time,

Just doubled it for one day and all seems well. I'll just stick to one a night for awhile then go to every other night if I can. Thanks for your comments

Ah, yes, my dear wife too wonders how I manage to get drops of those enemas everywhere in her otherwise immaculate, temple of a bathroom (and I get scolded randomly for not meeting her standards). She secretly suspects I am doing some heathen-istic enema-dance in there to get drops on the floor, wall, and even ceiling (?) one time... Although, I am willing to bet I inadvertently get a drop of enema on my finger and accidentally fling it onto the floor/wall/etc.

You get rather used to where your butthole is with a bit of practice. I do not squeeze the enema until I can feel the enema is inserted correctly. If I am off a little, that is cannot feel the tip inside, then I lightly tap the tip up/down/left right and move it until I feel it's in.

Yes. Administer at toilet and immediately there after walk to bed to fall asleep on my left side. Only get in trouble for bathroom drips.

I got my doc to prescribe 2x day rowasa (generic of course) for the first time. Wow does it help! It's only been a few days but I can already feel some improvement. I'm hoping this will hold me over until Entyvio starts to help (if it starts to help).

Happy for you! Doubling enemas helped me too.

Getting better at inserting Rowasa enemas, and I think they're helping. I'm told I'll know much better after 3 or 4 weeks. When I was doing this 25 years ago, it seemed much easier.

I get on the bathroom floor, chuck under me, on my knees with my butt in the air, shake bottle, squeeze out air, lube it up, insert, and slowly squeeze bottle, sometimes minor leakage. Never know exactly how empty the bottle is...usually about 2/3, and I'm retaining it fairly well overnight.

Looking forward to doing the deed in bed, lying on my left side. as described above, while keeping my wife at ease. All in good time. Thanks for the advise veterans.
