I need to read over this again but seems interesting. They performed research on mice and some preliminary research on humans.

It just seems a bit misleading to call it diet-based therapy. It is a therapy focused on manipulating gut microbes. The manipulation is via content and timing of nutrition. Thats not exactly what mode people thing about
when they hear "diet"

So I dug around a bit on this and it seems this "diet" is more of a product that you purchase. $250 for some pre packaged food items. Yikes. USC has a financial interest in the product, but the main researcher donates 100% of his profits to enhancing health through nutrition. Here is the link.

I have to admit I still haven't read the full report that curl3d linked. If someone would break down the macronutrient info I would definitely try it on my own... but I'm not spending $250 for some nuts and tea. Interesting concept nonetheless. You basically fast but re-feed with prebiotics over 5 days once per month for up to 3 months. It doesn't seem like this was developed specifically for IBD from quickly looking into it.
