Blyton and Moore’s study is the first to provide evidence that fecal transplants can establish a new bacterial regime in koalas, which in turn helps the animals exploit a different food source.

Wow. My god, humans are messed up. We destroy their habitats and instead of repairing them, we're now going to make them get poop shoved up their butts.

Fecal transplants are many times done through a tube past the stomach into the small intestines. Didn't know this till I saw a program on c.diff.
