Is there any better probiotic than VSL3?

I want to know that is there a probiotic which is more strong and potent , for curing UC.

Our guts are all different, and what works for one person, may not for the next, even if one could state, with certainly, that something was effective to begin with.

The VSL#3 formulation has been discontinued but I'm told one can still locate probiotic VSL#3 in Europe, manufactured in Italy. No guarantees on the final different formulation, however. Do some serious research!

Yeas, there is no solid proof that Probiotics can cure UC. They might be beneficial at certain stages of UC.
Fot me, if I am near to remission or in remission Probiotics are helpful. I used to prepare my own probiotic cocktail:

I boiled oat flakes in microwave. After chilling out I mixed them with plain yogurt and grated apple. I left the mixture for 12 hours in room temperature and then I consumed it. After 12 hour probiotic cultures multiplied. For me it used to be very tasty breakfast.

VSL#3 was at a time the only probiotic that had a clinical study backing the idea that it helped improve ulcerative colitis symptoms. Then the guy who owned the patent quit the company and sued VSL#3's company saying they falsely continued to make the same clinical-study claims without having the rights to his patented strains. He won. He now sells his patented probiotic under the name Visbiome which you can buy online.

Costco used to have a great price for VSL#3 but they stopped carrying it during and since the lawsuit. They sell a replacement called simply "High Potency Probiotic" which I have been taking and which seems to help me.

I have been meaning to buy some Visbiome but I've never gotten around to it, partially because of the cost and partially because I am wary about buying refrigerated stuff through the mail.
