Skin probs whenever entering remission

So here's a weird question that no doctor can answer.

Whenever I'm nearing recovery from a flare and reducing my prednisone dose, my skin breaks out. I also get one or two abscesses, but only one or two. Last time, it was an abscess on the side of my nose. The time before that, it was next to my ear. The time before that, it was above my right nipple. There's always just one or two, it's weird.

The abscess takes forever to build and then eventually it pops, and it goes away. A lot comes out of it. It's really gross.

This time, I have one on my back right beside my spine, and another beside my ear. They are both medium sized and haven't come to a head yet.

Both my shoulders are also COVERED in acne and blackheads. I've never had shoulder acne in my life. It looks horrible.

I'm wondering if anyone here has experienced this as they are coming off steroids or just coming off of a flare in general? Nobody seems to be able to tell me what this is about.

I had really bad acne on low doses of pred, near the end of my tapers (face, neck, shoulders). I've never had an abscess.

What do you think the low doze zone is about? I mean... why is it causing this?

The only thing I can think of is the immune system coming back online and then fighting skin bacteria or something?
