Colazal side effect

Hi all,

I've started Colazal three days ago and I've noticed that I have a yellow color in my urine and stool.

Anyone else experience this?

Cause for concern?

I noticed the same thing when I switched to Colazal. I upped my water intake and it has normalized. My doctor told me I would have to drink more water when I switched; I thought he was crazy but I found out pretty quickly he wasn't!

The bright yellow urine is common to oral mesalamine use. Be sure to drink plenty of water with each dose, and otherwise keep well-hydrated throughout the day. Colazal was my break-through med for managing UC-- so I wish you equally good results with it. / Old Hat (40 yrs with left-sided UC; in remission taking Colazal)
