I stumbled across this article today about
Ruminococcaceae, secondary bile acids, and UC (they were specifically looking at a group of UC J-pouch patients vs a group of non-UC J-pouch patients) and thought those of you that follow gut microbiome research would find it interesting. I was following much more closely around 2014/15 when I had my microbiome sequenced by the now defunct Ubiome.

https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/s0955286317301110I love walnuts but my gastro tells me to avoid whole nuts when I'm flaring, so I haven't had any for a while. I'll buy some ground walnuts that I can add to smoothies (I usually use ground almonds).
