Highest dose you’re on? Is it safe?

How low is your vitamin D level!

Highest I was in was 5000IU.
My readings are now in normal range, staying at 3200IU.

It’s not low. This will be a part of my antibiotic treatment. 3 antibiotics and high dose Vit d 10,000 iu

When are you going to start treatment & is this being done with Borody's group? Do you know what antibiotics you will be taking? Sorry for the questions, but it will be interesting to see how you do with this treatment.

Yes through The Center for digestive disease Sydney. I’ll find out the name of the antibiotics and post them. They’re being made at a compound chemist. 3 different antibiotics and high dose Vit D

Wishing you good luck with that treatment so that you can escape the repeat ER & hospital problems in Wagga. (Too much going around in circles there!) Definitely let us know how you're doing. / Old Hat (40+ yrs with left-sided UC; presently in remission taking Colazal)

Thankyou old hat. Definitely sent me in circles. I felt very vulnerable and anxious. I’m back with my Dr in Sydney. The plan is try the antibiotic therapy. If it doesn’t work it prepares me for FT. He said he has lots of patients off medication after FT. Failing FT he suggested biologics or imuran. I think I’ll lean towards Entyvio if I’m faced with that decision. He agreed the pancreatitis was the mesalazine. I will stay on the 1g oral mezavant (I can tolerate low dose mesalazine without it affecting my pancreas) and 1g Pentasa enema alternate days to keep me stable until we see how I respond to the antibiotics. He’s hoping I will respond well because he believes my ibd is from Roaccutane which wipes out your gut microbes. This was a chemo drug used for acne
