That site was accurate for me. You can also call 211 and speak to someone who can schedule an appointment for you.

Also, CVS said you have to sign up for theirs on the CVS website, not the government site.

My CVS takes you without appointments.

Had the omicron booster Thursday at rite aid. We walked in without an appointment.
In my area, CVS has moderna and rite aid has Pfizer. I decided to go with Pfizer this time—mainly hoping for a lesser reaction—but no such luck. The body aches and low grade fever lasted about 24 hours. But I got the migraine again. On day 2 of that. Imitrex helps but doesn’t last as long as it normally does.

Flowers: Is your migraine better? Sorry that happened again.

I'll be getting the Pfizer on Thursday. My first 2 were Moderna and I did flare about 10 days after my second Moderna. Nothing happened after my first Pfizer booster so I'll be sticking with Pfizer even if it was just a fluke somehow.

I'm glad it's gone and wasn't quite as bad as last time. Wow, yes, I would like to avoid covid as well. Bad migraines are terrible and can also really frighten me.

Got my Pfizer booster and flu shot about 6 hours ago. So far, no side effects other than a very slightly sore arm in the covid side.

Thank you, Flowers! Covid shot arm is sore but other than that, I'm feeling fine. I did get a migraine before bed last night, but I've been getting quite a few lately so it may have been unrelated. Imitrex knocked it out.

Thank you. Imitrex is taken as needed and for me it works fast--within an hour. You're not supposed to take it super frequently. Insurance only pays for 9 pills a month (in the U.S.). Over-the-counter Aleve/naproxen used to work for me until I went on Humira and developed severe migraines. Ever since Humira, Aleve never worked for any of my headaches ever again, even milder ones. Kind of sucks, but at least the Imitrex is working.

Keith, I did a little search & came up empty handed. I would call & ask your pharmacist.

Effective time period is 2 weeks for the booster... And also for the flu vaccine. I'm scheduling out 3 weeks from Remicade infusion.

Today I was able to get the Moderna. I was scheduled for the flu and Moderna but they ran out of flu shots. They are getting more later this week. 😩..... I'll get my shingles shot in December. Everything is good so far..... I can't decide if I really have a headache or if I really feel tired because I woke up with both this morning.... But if it gets worse I'll let you know.

As far as not getting the Covid booster.... My daughter just recently caught covid. Her heart rate was up to 170ish. She was in a self contained unit by the icu for 4 days. (Because she had COVID and a heart issue.) They have gotten her heart rate down to 120 as the high...although it will spike higher if she does anything. The 170 was just sitting up from a flat position, so this is better. She is under the care of a heart doctor. They do not know if her heart rate will return to normal. They thought it would once she tested negative for COVID but that didn't happen. Now it's up in the air. She's taking medication to lower it. She had to go out for doctor visits (after they released her from hospital) and she struggled. So.... Taking the booster was a no brainer for me. (Yes she was vaccinated.) Please be safe all and remember this virus is still dangerous....
