does anyone notice that when you are flaring other blood markers, that on the face of it may have nothing to do with UC, go astray. Not so much that they are correctly high or low but more that the presence of the flare is causing abnormal results....e.g. artifically high ferritin, etc

When I was first ill and in a severe flare and trying to get diagnosed, I was having issues that kept interfering with diagnosis — one time I felt so weak and “off” I went to the ER and my blood sugar was at 30 which is way low, so they only treated me for that. Then when I had bloody diarrhea they treated me for pancreatitis because those enzymes were 3x normal, even though I had no pancreatic symptoms. One dr I spoke to at the time said a severe flare can affect a lot of things.
