Clo, I made a separate post so you would see this, lol. You mentioned you thought you were sensitive to the sunlight in the vitamin D thread. I went to Drugs.com & found that sun sensitivity is listed as a side effect of Methotrexate.

Thanks for that information.

I have psoriasis and eczema that impacts it also. It started before I was on any meds and right before my UC/Crohn's diagnosis. ( I had never had skin issues and suddenly my skin would develop a rash and break out in little bumps whenever sunlight touched it....then I was diagnosed w/UC Crohn's & the dermatologist diagnosed me with a sun allergy. They thought it was because my immune system haf suddenly gone overboard when I caught food poisening and then UC. While I was on Remicade it got better until the last time I went off everything for my surgery. Since then it's really been bad. They keep telling me that it might get better once my trough levels are at about 11 to 13. I know they are hoping that it's just the immune system and the Remicade will stop the inflammation and issues.

I will bring up the methotrexate when I see them in December.

Clo, i also used to get a sun rash for t quite some time. Mine started the summer before I was diagnosed with UC and lasted through the first 3 years of my diagnosis. Thankfully it has stopped, not sure why. My dermatologist told me with was PMLE and not uncommon in folks with autoimmune issues. I take Imuran now and have to be extra careful about sun exposure, but thankfully I don’t get that wretched rash anymore.
