After trying Entyvio and now Humira with no success, my insurance has finally approved me for Rinvoq! Unfortunately, I will have to wait to start. I'm on Day 10 of battling some viral/bacterial infection with 10 straight days of mild fevers that alternate between 99-102 degrees. This initially started with headaches, and I've had a bit of a dry cough and complete lack of appetite. No nausea or vomiting though. Main symptom is the unrelenting fevers. Tested negative for COVID and the flu, and most of my labs are normal (even white blood cell count in the normal range) with the exception of my C-Reactive Protein (which was high) and my Monocyte count (also high, indicating that I'm fighting some infection).
I know it's viral or bacterial, I just wish I knew what. I've never had fevers that lasted this long and have never battled an infection that lasted 10 days or more. Uggghhhh...
I know this is a UC forum, but just curious if anyone has ever had something like this?
Thank you,
