How is everyone doing? I feel cured at this point with Rinvoq

Haven't been here in ages, I went from steroids to imuran to Remicade to Rinvoq.
Rinvoq is amazing so far, like a miracle.
Imuran cause a lot of skin cancers and Remicade was even worse for the skin. Rinvoq treats the skin as well as IBD and is very targeted so the blackbox warning refers to the class of drug, not Rinvoq specifically.
I hope you are all doing better than last time I was here years ago. Bless you all, keep on keeping on.

Glad you are doing well on Rinvoq. Just a word of caution -- don't think this is a "cure". You have to keep taking it to feel this well. It's a treatment that works. If you stop you will be sick again.

I've learned many things on this journey. I always thought once I was on Remicade, I couldn't come off. It was actually an easy transition.
Remicade and Imuran can cause huge skin issues including cancers, be very vigilant with your dermatologist.
Jak inhibitors like Rinvoq show huge promise, Rinvoq was developed for RA, then dermatitis , now it is the leading UC drug. These drugs will be refined and reformulated as we move ahead.
I am glad I'm alive in this promising medical time and have avoided horrible surgery. I am blessed!
