Looking to see who has been living with an ICD, just one placed on me on Wednesday past

My daughters best friend had this & a defib implanted at the age of 42! No history of cardiac issues, nothing, thankfully she got to ER in time. It's been almost 5 years & she has done great.

Hi Bebbles, I just had an ICD/Pacemaker implanted 15 days ago 11/13/24. I am doing great. Had first device checkup 11/21/24 all is good they said. I see my doctor in Feb 2025 for next device checkup and to change the pacing on the battery at that time.
I had my first Heart failure July 2010. I finally found a good doctor who explained why I needed these two devices implanted. I feel like I have a new lease on life.

hi thanks for the reply! an echo last week and waiting on the results, feeling ok but days I have this congestion or heartburn feeling in my chest and sometimes I get throbbing headaches that last a few minutes at a time latelyl

my heart size is normal but the EF is still estimated @ 25%
glad you’re feeling well gentledove, are you in rehab?
