S4 heart sound

I am 43 years old, recently had echocardiogram and stress test, which were normal, but told I have a S4 heart sound which is not normal for my age. I have occasional pressure in my chest, chest pain, and palpitations. Blood pressure previously normal but borderline readings recently.

Hi Angmar, glad to read that your echo & stress test came back good. I am guessing the cardiologist says this is not normal for your age, is this correct. Did the dr recommend anything special since he heard it? I read about it at the NIH & did not find any real helpful info that would be worth posting here. As far as BP goes, do whatever your dr suggests to keep it down.
