too much beta blocker

I accidentally have been taking twice as much Cardevilol as prescribed (100 mg a day instead of 50) for about 3 or 4 weeks. I found the mistake yesterday and began to cut down today by 1/4 (75mg/day). I feel dizzy and lightheaded. Can I reduce more quickly back to my prescribed dose (50mg a day) or should I go slowly? Thanks.

Susie, thanks for your reply. I can’t reach my cardiologist on the holiday weekend. Not sure what to do. I reduced the dose by 75 percent today.
