I hope I am not duplicating this post. I got almost fnished and lost it.

I recently watched my husband of 45 years suffer and die a fairly quick death from heart failure. I just saw a commercial on tv for a heart failure drug which showed all these patients in great shape, living full lives, no oxygen attached to them. Do people ever really thrive with heart failure? From what I've read on the subject they rarely live more than 5 or 6 months with H/F and it is NOT pleasant. Is this just false advertising?

I have MS and I get a few publications which run along the same lines. All the people in the pictures are seemingly healthy and active. I happen to know that is not the norm. I'm getting to the point of not even reading the articles anymore. Everything is just so rosy, not the true picture at all.

TV is full of commercials for new drugs that are going to "fix" everything. Anyone have any opinions on this subject? Thanks.

Ozarker, I am sorry to read that your husband has passed. You have my deepest sympathies.

I have seen the commercial about heart failure, along with various other commercials. It is nothing more than a marketing tactic to advertise their drug. The people are actors, they do not have the conditions. If they used people that had the particular condition, sales would not be so good. The newer one running now for crohns disease as an example, shows a man looking around for a bathroom. Having diarrhea with crohns is not the only symptom, but they are hoping to attract people that has issues with diarrhea. Just my thoughts, if they want to advertise their drugs, leave the actors out of the commercials.
