I wore a 14 day zio patch monitor and the cardiologist said it came back ok. Some PVCs and two small short runs of SVT. But nothing crazy. I had the EP doc also review and he said the same but also mentioned that I am having these spikes in heart rate. For example.. I will be at 77 bpm and then it will shot to 160 or 155 for about 5 seconds and come back down. Since he told me this I have been watching my heart rate data on my apple watch and low and behold this is occurring. looking back at all data since I obtained this watch in December I have seen that its been occurring. The EP doc said the rhythm is totally normal. Its not SVT, A Fib, NSVT or anything like that. Its normal sinus just fast and only for a few seconds. He said there were days it occurred often and days that it didn't at all. I am of course so obsessed now with watching that I think I am making myself nuts. Its occurred daily since he called me Friday. But the EP doc said this is not harmful or anything I need to worry about. He suggested a beta blocker to help control it. I took one pill each day since sat. But, its still occurring. I am just like, how can that be. Has anyone else out there experienced anything like this? I watched this happen yesterday while sitting on the couch at rest two times. I don't feel it at all but its being caught.
