Possible lateral infarct !?!

Hi all! My 50 year old husband decided to be smart and go see a cardiologist because he has been experiencing shortness of breath when he bends over. It seemed minor enough, but we figured better safe than sorry.
The cardiologist did an ECG and it turned out to be abnormal “ possible lateral infarct age undetermined “!
My hubby is pretty freaked out about it. The doctor ordered a ton of different tests. Of course the first available appointment for those is 3 months away.
My hubby is afraid that he is a ticking time bomb!
Can anyone offer any advice?
He is 50 years old, reasonably healthy but there is definitely room for improvement in his diet and exercise routine.

Hi Leah77, I understand the concern, however, try not to stress out, that will not help. I think if the dr thought your husband was a ticking time bomb, the work up would have started immediately not months away. However, I think having to wait 3 months on testing is ridiculous for anyone whether there may be something wrong with them or not. Was this a first time visit with this cardiologist? If so, I would start looking for a new one, I've never waited that long for testing & I do many of these tests yearly.
