Hi, just wondering is it safe to fly after having nissen surgery,im 4 weeks in,has anyone travelled after their surgery and did you have any complications? Thanks! Barry

I would check with your Dr. if you have doubts but I see no reason why you could not fly if your surgery was successful and you are not having any complications. People fly from country to country to have this procedure so I would guess they fly to get back home.

I just saw my Doctor last week and he said six weeks and it's due to the lifting of luggage. If you don't plan to lift much, it might be OK, but everybody is different.

Hi Baza. For medical reasone you cant fly until 7 days post op. This is due to the gas in your body.
Do check up with your doctor though.

Hi,thanks everyone for your replies,just worried about
being sick on the flight as i am having a lot of nausea,i,ll take a load of anti nausea tabs before i get on.Thanks! Barry
