i had the TIF/hernia repair done for my lpr. Nasal congestion, throat pain... and I came out worse... Didn't have heartburn, breathing issues and nausea before TIF, but sure enough 3 weeks after the sugery my symptoms came about...
I'm sure it helps the majority of people, but it seems like it's marketed to glorify the procedure to much... I'd like to think the endogastric solutions is making a product to make peoples lives better and not to rake in the millions. Also, the doctors I went to for awhile at UW-madison said they don't do the TIF because the long term data isn't that great. The surgeon their said he did 12 TIF's compared to 1000's of nissens... Don't know if thats the same throughout the large hospitals or not. Would probably go with what mayo thinks over UW_madison however...
Since I had a negative experience with the TIF...I can't say anything good about it unfortunately. I'm sure it has helped someone on this forum?
