Hi all,
Has anyone for whom PPis became less or ineffective had luck trying the six food elimination diet used to treat Eosinophilic Esophagitis? SFED takes out Soy, Corn, Dairy, Wheat, Eggs, Seafood. I read a study that showed in adults with confirmed cases of EoE, the diet helped clear up symptoms in almost all cases EVEN IF, in some cases, the reactive foods did not show up as reactive on IgE skin prick tests.
Clearly they don't know how to test for all the various kinds of immune reactions to foods... Anyway, I think I'm going to do a trial of this diet to see if it could explain my sudden flip over to (ps as I right this my cat is refluxing up a hairball...) uncontrolled reflux and slightly painful/slow swallowing (not present before).
Just a thought... Any comments or experiences welcome.
