yes I've had bloodwork done once at a walk in clinic and once at the ER everything came back normal

I too didn't have any stones in my gallbladder and was told by 2 different ER docs that it couldn't be my gallbladder because there weren't any stones. My GI pushed for a hida scan and Mine was only working 20%. I saw a surgeon a week later on a Thursday and he put me on the schedule for that day. Saw him at 9am and was in surgery at 2pm.
So definitely get the hida scan done.

I have 2 male friends who only had right side rib soreness as their only symptom and had bad gallbladder. It does happen. Attacks can be anything from an ache under the right ribs, stabbing pain in the right shoulder blade, or mid back pain. Bot everyone has the same symptoms for an attack. Even the intensity can be different.
Please do still get the hida sxan to rule it out completely. It's an easy test, just takes a while waiting for it to fill and then release into the small intestine.
