Bad Heartburn from Driving?

Does anyone else get really bad heartburn from driving? The road vibrations really kick the acid up into my esophagus, and I have no idea how to stop it. Really doesn't matter how much PPI I take - it gets me everytime.

I'm also at the point where my lifestyle changes + mild dosing of PPI's / H2's have fixed most causes of heartburn (can almost lie down flat again at night!), but riding or driving in a car is always very troublesome for me. Anyone else experience this? Any suggestions to improve it?

I have not had this problem but hopefully one of the other members will have info for you. I do carry an antacid with me at all times for the occasional bouts of heartburn.

You may want to try that.

Yes, I have this problem, especially on longer trips. An hour or so doesn't bother me. I'm careful on trips to eat very light, usually just salads and protein, not much carbs or fats.
