Mild pain a day after heartburn

Hello everyone!

I'm trying to figure out the frequency of my heartburn attacks. I usually get a big episode once a week, then I feel mild irritation in the chest a day or two after. Is this normal, or is this just another fit of heartburn the day after?

I get moderately severe chest and left shoulder pain with my GERD that can persist after the burping, belching, acid reflux seems to be gone.

Yes, I think so. It is always worth a cardiac workup if there is the possibility of heart problems but I think it's a pretty common symptom.
