I take a tbs of Gavsicon before I exercise..... Has been helping me.... My emotions have ALOT to do with my GERD and of course what I eat... If I am stressed and anxious then my acid and stomach gets so bad... No decaf coffee , tomatoes, peaches, anything citrus or even dairy or cheese I can tolerate... If it's REALLY bad not even water (I am serious!) Bending or stretching a certain way also gets me up in acid and wearing tight underwear or jeans.... I lost over 100 pounds and it didn't help... I have always had stomach issues since I was 18 years old (am a healthy 46 female) and I know my GERD, ulcers and hiatus hernia are full force if I don't take care of ME first.... Hope that helps...
