A further update.
I have noticed although my food as been going down fine with very little issue 90% of the time. The last few days I can feel food slide past my wrap. I think i may be chewing to fast and not taking my time. I have had this issue before and it brings my anxiety back.

Hi John:
We all think we are doing well, and sometimes forget to slow down and remember that you still have to chew more. At least now you realize what is going on, and can control your anxiety.

It is rather annoying, I'm grand 90% of the time then I have moments, where I can feel things go past my wrap and slows up a little bit before going past and then when I feel it, the anxiety kicks in.

John:
Try and identify if it's a particular food or group of foods that are giving you issues. If there is a correlation, then you can rally concentrate on slowing down with those particular foods.

Thank you Sharon.
I will dial back on most foods and take my time because I can feel it slowing down with bread, wraps and I'm fine with me. It started last week and I was having a sunday roast and it was mainly veg I had a issue and those items slowing down.

I have had two hiatal hernia surgeries and it is back. I can’t have anymore surgeries because of scar tissue. Needless to say I have been going through dry heaving and nausea for six years. Doctors say I have to live like this the rest of my life Has anyone else had this experience and if so what did you do to stop heaves and nausea. I have this almost every morning and now sometimes at night. Also, nausea drugs don’t work.
Thank you so much for any information you can give me

Kathleen W:
I suggest that you start your own thread, you may get more results. I have to warn you that the Boards are very slow.
I'm sorry that you are suffering so much. know you stated you've seen multiple doctors - do you have a teaching hospital where you live? Were your two surgeries Nissen Fundoplications?
Have you tried Zofran? It's used for chemo patients.
I can't offer you much advice, I've not experienced your issues.
Hopefully someone will come along and offer their advice.

Had HH surgery 5 years ago and it looks like I will be going for a second soon.
What works for me (reduces but does not get rid of nausea) are as follows:
1. sucking on a plain candy, not sugar free; I use weurthers caramels; helps especially if I start before going in the car and keep sucking on them the whole time;
2. crystalized ginger; I make home made which is just ginger and sugar;
3. ginger tea; home made; which is just ginger, water & honey;
4. zofran; I take up to 3x day as needed
