Hello! I’m 7 weeks post op toupet fundoplication, I just wanted to know how long after surgery did your chest pain go away.

Your chest pain may not be related to your surgery. I suggest that you see a cardiologist, or in case of emergency the ER to rule out any potential cardiac issues. Once you rule out cardiac issues, contact your surgeon to discuss your concerns.

I didn't feel chest pains after surgery but yes there was significant chest tightness which sometimes would feel like a pain. It went away at about 3 month mark for me.

did you have the tightness after food or was it there all the time.

mine comes after food and it’s there for couple of hours.

Yes mainly after foods, until I figured that was post Nissen gas bloat. This can be alleviated using antispasmodics and low fodmap diet.

Make sure you eat very slowly, and chew your food to an almost liquid consistency.

I chew my food very well but still I get chest tightness/pressure after each meal. Sometimes it disappears for a while then it comes back. Very annoying
