Hi,
I have severe GERD which I am trying to manage with the assistance of medical practitioners, please note that I also have a hiatal hernia. I am on PPI's as prescribed and and am making all the relevant lifestyle changes.
My main issue is a constant chronic couch from the moment I wake, it seems like everything I do triggers a coughing fit (which has white phlegm). The coughing may also cause me to belch and/or throw up white mucous or food. This cough has been ongoing for about 3 months and has an adverse affect on my life, I cannot do any kind of movement without coughing. This could be a simple as getting up, walking, talking, laughing, taking deep breaths...
These coughing fits also lead to constant rib pain, tension headaches and other aches. However with GERD I cannot take OTC painkillers.
Anybody have any of the same symptoms and any ideas how to deal with it.
