Hi all
I have a long history of severe GERD that hasn’t responded to medication due to the presence of a hiatal hernia. My symptoms have become so severe that I often experience choking episodes during sleep. Four months ago, I underwent the GerdX procedure, but unfortunately, it didn’t resolve my condition.
Now, I’m deciding between the LINX procedure and Nissen fundoplication. I’m 41 years old and an athlete who actively participates in swimming, running, and gym workouts.
I’m seeking advice from those with experience to help me determine the most suitable option. If you can advise me, or you’ve undergone either the LINX or Nissen procedure, I would greatly appreciate it if you could share your experiences and recommend which might be better for someone with my active lifestyle and severe symptoms.
