My original D test came back 17, so I started taking D3 4000 IU a day, which I calculated would bring it into the normal range, according to a scientific article I read.
My new test a year later is different - 2 different types of D tested.
The 25 Hidroxy D is just 37.8 (normal 32 - 100). The Calcitriol (1,25 di-OH Vit D) level is 78.1 (normal is 10 - 75).
I'm trying to figure out if I'm taking too much D3 or if I need to find a different brand, or if maybe my poor diet is causing the problem.
I haven't been eating much protein - get nauseated from meat, can't eat soy. My vitamin K level may be low because I don't eat much that has it, very little salad, can't eat broccoli, etc.
I'm having increasing stomach trouble, nausea, early fullness, because my wrap is partly undone and partly reherniated above the diaphragm. I don't see the gastro doc for a couple more months.
