It has been 7 weeks since it was done. I am having some pain in my lower stomach area. Is this normal. I am worried about. The color of my bowel movements have changed from light to dark in color. Thanks for any help.

Hi M60 tanker,

I have not had the NF surgery but I've read several posts from members of the "wrapped club". With so many posts coming in, it may take awhile for someone with experience to respond. You might want to take a look in the resources folder. I know there are reflections from members who have chronicled their journeys from healing to setbacks to healing again. It may be scar tissue tearing from one of the sites of entry for your surgery. I had a lot of pain in spots I didn't expect for nearly two months. They were in the vicinity of several entry sites around my naval.

M60, the bowel color change is due to your diet.
If memory serves me (6 yr post op) you should be just beginning to introduce tougher meats about now. That will cause some gas issues. If it's too rough ease off the harder meats for awhile.
