Something weird has been happening in the last few weeks. On the 6th of Oct. i started supplementing with magnesium (magnesium chloride - dissolve in water and spray on skin). Here's what happened next in a timeline:
Oct 6th: about 3 hours after first administration i experienced slight SOB.
Oct 7th: See my post -> https://www.healingwell.com/community/default.aspx?f=45&m=3718056 (took my second and final dose on that day, i didn't suspect magnesium when i posted it)
Oct 8th-12th: Everything got better except for the constricted/tight chest feeling (and intermittent SOB)
Oct 13th-??th: Tight chest feeling improved slowly but then the lump in the throat came back alongside mostly constant brain fog.
Oct ??th-20th: I don't keep a health diary so i don't remember the exact dates at this point but the lump in the throat lasted a few days then got replaced by the chest/esophagus always feeling full, it was in fact hard to even burp.
Oct 20th-22nd: Changed again this time attacking the throat, it felt very hoarse, dry and even painful.
Oct 23rd (as i'm writing this): Massive reduction in symptoms for the first time in over 2 weeks. In fact the first 4 hours awake that day had barely any symptoms. Later on the throat began bothering me again but a lot less. But so far even the brain fog is gone or at least greatly diminished.
Before continuing i should mention a few things: During those 2 weeks i burped a lot less, i even had little to no gas (which for me is something i have in abundance daily - as of Oct 22nd it slowly went back to abundant). I also began having a slight burning sensation in my upper abdomen that comes and goes.
Now, as the title suggest i'm wondering if anyone got any experience with trying magnesium and having worsening symptoms while on it?
I was reading earlier that magnesium is one of the founding block for stomach acid which lead me to this theory: if i was deficient in it before my body/stomach went on overdrive using as much as it could when i supplemented. It would explain this massive spike in symptoms (never had anything like this before, i mean i had flare ups but nowhere this severe), the slight burning in upper abdomen from over production of acid and over digestion (idk if that's really a thing) which could explain why i had no burps or gas. I guess i will know if my theory is right in a few days as the symptoms seem to be subsiding (becoming deficient or rather depleted again).
