I will be having my wrap done April 17th...so in two days.
I am having my wrap done for a couple reasons. I have extreme GERD that is uncontrollable. I also have a hiatal hernia. But, the most reason I am having the surgery is because I have severe asthma that appears to come on when my acid reflux gets out of control.
The doctors think that the acid goes up into my throat and into my lungs which causes me to have asthma attacks. I believe this is happening too.
Has anyone else had asthma due to reflux and had the wrap done? If so, what was your results after surgery? Did you still have asthma? Or did you have it less times than normal.
I have asthma from the reflux...but also have asthma when I exercise, breathe in cold air, and chemicals will put me into an asthma attack. But the reflux seems to set me off more than 75% of the time.
Thanks for any responses.
