Prednisone

My doctor wants me to take prednisone for my ulcerative colitis but Im worried about how it will effect my psoriasis. Ive read that it clears up psoriasis but it can flare badly once you're off it. Has anyone had experience with this? Thanks!

I have taken prednisone for my Crohns colitis and it hasn't really affected my psoriasis at all. It hasn't calmed it and it hasn't made it flare. I know I'm finding this post late, so you've probably taken the pred already. I hope you haven't had it affect you negatively!

I have taken it for my psoriasis and when i came off of it it came back on me with a vengeance and almost doubled the area it has previously had

My friend had it from feet to knees...she has been taking 5 mg prednisone for 2.5 yrs keeping it at bay. I will not take it, trying to learn my triggers. Hers is fir trees ....at least she knows....
