psoriasis related pain

My psoriasis is primarily on my scalp, with occasional outbreaks in eyebrows and ears.  I've had psoriasis for about 22 years now (currently 34).  Currently I treat it with either Olux foam or Clobex spray on an as needed basis (depends on which one I grab) and it seems to keep any big flares under control.  I'm also on methotrexate for arthritis (psoriatic is in the mix) and the mtx helps keep the psoriasis at bay.    Up until now any pain associated with the psoriasis has been a raw skin type pain.  However, since Sunday I've had pain about an inch above one ear and two inches above the other ear.  This pain came on suddenly and feels almost like a bruise.  I didn't bump my head or anything else that would cause bruising.  Upon inspection, there is no bruise but I do have patches of psoriasis in both locations.  I put Olux foam on both spots on Sunday and it seemed to help somewhat, although the pain is gradually coming back.  Has anyone else experienced psoriasis related pain similar to what I'm describing?   Thanks in advance, Melissa
