I have severe arthritis in all three compartments of both knees as well as baker's cysts. Due to knee buckling I had another MRI done and it was noted by the radiologist that the synovial fluid in my knee was thickening. Ortho doc stated this could be due to a bacterial infection in the knee and I needed to be treated. However, he would not draw the synovial fluid for testing and told me to go to the rheumotologist WHO DOES NOT DRAW FLUID!!!!!!!!! After I had a melt down insisting someone has to draw the fluid for testing he did get me an appointment with a new rheumotologist.
Is anyone familiar with problems with synovial fluid and what is meant by a bacterial infection. My knee always is swollen and warm to the touch.
Whether I have a tick borne disease is also being questioned.
