Hello,
This is my first post on this forum. I have posted on the Prostate cancer forum in the past.

I have graduated from Osteopenia to Osteoarthritis. Dexiscan is a 3.2? Oncologist wants me to start some sort of treatment. I am wondering if anyone has any information regarding Fosomax vs. Prolia?

Hi Bill,

I was searching for posts on Prolia in the prostate cancer site but saw your post here. I was diagnosed with mild Osteoporosis in June 2014 after 12 mos. Lupron. Probably had some before Lupron. My Oncologist highly recommended Prolia. I had my second 6 mo. shot in Nov. 2014. The only SE I have experienced is hair thinning/loss which I hate. It is not listed as a SE by Prolia. I will have a follow-up Dexa in May this year.

Thanks for the reply. Having been taking Fosomax for past couple of months. No major se's. Upset stomach now and again. However, the weekly ritual of pill - water - wait a 1/2 hr. is getting old. May see if insurance will cover the Prolia.
