hi alcie.you sound like you went through a pretty rough trot with your sinuses.i don't always get sinus infections but the chronic pain is always there.i went and got another x-ray done last week but my doctor is away at the moment so i have to wait another 2 weeks to see him.
like you,i had a sinus operation when i was 18 years old and that was a long,long time ago.it worked really well and i got relief for about 10 years.my symptons were different then.i was sneezing a lot and had a runny nose all the time and i felt like i was always sick with head cold symptons but it was my sinuses.
i can't afford that operation again.now my symptons are different.my twin sister has the same problem as me and she went to an allergist about 5 years ago and started immumotherepy.it was a huge effort for her going to the doctors every week for painful injections and doing this over a period of 3 years.it cost a fortune.my sister said it reduced her symptons for about 2 years and then it all came back.
i am booked into the same allergist but the wait is very,very long.i don't even know how i am going to afford to see him.i will talk more with my doctor when he gets back from his break.thanks for the suggestions.i hope your feeling better these days.take care.

hi alcie.i am glad you enjoy getting your needle for your allergies.i am surprised that you are allowed to sometimes do it yourself.no one in australia would ever be allowed to do that.if it is helping your pain,that is fantastic.
when i see my doctor in a few weeks,i will talk to him again about things.i have mentioned the ear,nose and throat specialist but i have no money at this stage and they are expensive.since taking the 4 days of steroids,my facial pain is not as bad as it always is.that could change anytime though.thanks for your suggestions and i hope you continue to go well with your allergy/sinus problems.take care.
