not coping with my chronic allergy and sinus pain

hi guys.i have been on this forum in the past but i have been sick for a long while so sorry i have not got back on here to chat to the wonderful and supportive people on this site.i am not coping with my chronic facial sinus pain which is coming from my allergies.
i am on a 15 month long waiting list to see the only private allergist in our area.i can't afford to go and i really have not got the health to go through immuno therepy,let alone afford it.i put my name down on the waiting list because i am desperate.
the pain is just too much and it never stops.from the eyebrows down,my face radiates pain,especially in the sinus plates on each side of my nose under my eyes.
i take sudafed each day and i do saline flushes and i am on the strongest nose script spray available but it is not helping me at all.
i am dealing with on and off sinus infections and all of this is really blowing my chronic headaches and migraines.i have just taken 4 days of steroid tablets and the pain eased up a lot but comes back late each afternoon but i can't stay on steroids.
i am sitting here and my ears are sore,my eyes are sore,my face is on fire as usual.i don't get runny noses and i don't sneeze anymore.
pain killers don't work on me anymore because i have taken codeine everyday for the last 25 years and nothing works anymore.i am suffering mulitiple chronic pain conditions and i am falling apart under the non stop pain issues.i am booked in to see a pain clinic this month but i feel i am in too much pain to go.
now my 3 teenage kids have come down with allergies.should i start washing the bedding in hot water?i am using a special duster to dust the house each week.
sorry this is so long.i also get terrible aches and pains in my neck and upper back.it is like having a flu virus all the time without the running nose.my jaw feels like it is aching badly too.i just cry and cry because this is causing me too much pain.
any suggestions while i am waiting on the long waiting list for the allergist?i am desperate.please help.thanks.

hi gods catsmeow.what an unusual name.i am happy that you found the natural approach very helpful for your sinus and allergy problems.i have tried accupuncture several times in the past for problems but it did not work.
that does not mean it will not help my problem at the moment.i have to be honest and say i can't afford to see another natrapath but i will not dismiss it.take care.

hi alcie.no,i am not in close contact with my sister all the time.i do see her on and off but her family is always too sick to go near.they have a 2 year old boy at childcare and he is always sick which they in term get.
i understand what you mean by not taking too much steroids.even i was not too keen to take it in the first place last week.to me,it is just another medication to stop the pain but not fix it and get addicted to it.it is bad enough being addicted to codeine my whole adult life.
i will write down the coulture thing and mention it to the doctor.i have had an xray 2 weeks ago and i am waiting to get the results off my doctor but he has been away on holidays so i have to wait.hope your feeling ok today.thanks for your wonderful advice and support.it really means a lot to me.just curious,i am not sure which country this forum is in.i have this feeling it is an english forum but i could be wrong.i know it is not australian,that is my country.take care.
