breathing problems during/after exercise

Hi all, I am new here. I go to the gym quite a lot but recently after some high intensity personally training sessions a couple of times now my breathing has felt shallow like I should be gasping for breath. One time I felt like this for 2 days after the exercise which I thought was odd and tonight I feel out of breath again even though I finished exercising hours ago. I wonder if i have asthma or possibly something else? I suffer with panic attacks and this is different to a panic attack. Would be interested to see if anyone is in my situation or knows what the problem could be.

Your probably suffering from exercise induce asthma, talk to your
Doctor about prescribing you a asthma inhaler, this is very common in some people. Explain to the doctor what's been happening to you,
before your next vigerise excersize.

It sounds very much like my exercise-induced asthma. Often the first way I know I'm having problems is that it will take me much longer than it usually does to recover my breath after hard exercise. Be sure you take the time you need to recover before continuing with your workout. Sometimes my trainer will even notice it first, and will make me sit down for a minute or two before she lets me do anything else.

As long as I use my Advair inhaler religiously twice a day I don't have these problems, but I'm bad about "forgetting."

My GP gave me a prescription for an inhaler and said I have exercise induced asthma so hopefully things will improve now. I'm not sure what exercises I should be doing or what I should be avoiding though. I hope I can continue to keep up my personal training sessions at the gym, I also do classes and go to the gym for workouts on my own.
