I don't know what to do about my allergies

I'm 16 years old and I am literally allergic to everything outside including multiple trees, grass, pollen, I'm even allergic to dust that's in the house and it seems like I'm always around something that I'm allergic to. My mom has tried giving me simple over the counter allergy medicines but none of them seem to be helping..my allergies give me a lot of sinus pressure which causes me to have a headache almost every single day of my life and whenever I eat something hot, like soup or gumbo my nose runs..unlike my sisters and mom who just have the sniffles..i have to keep a napkin next to me because I have so much stuff clogged up in my sinus cavities and it's starting to get to the point where we don't know what to do...so my mom went to the doctor and she prescribed me to an allergy doctor..whenever we went we had the skin test done..I'm not allergic to any foods but I'm literally allergic to everything else so my doctor prescribed me some antihistamines to take but the medicine didn't help at all..so the doctor recommend imunotherapy..most people who do imunotherapy only have to get one shot but I had to get two because I'm allergic to so many things the doctor said that it was completely safe and no one really ever gets a reaction from it..but they make you stay after for thirty minutes just in case...but after I got the shot and we were eating for my thirty minutes to be up I started coughing and my throat was closing up do they took me into a room and we're trying to calm me down because i was about to start crying because I didn't know what was going to happen..so they gave me some benedryl to help my throat and checked my blood pressure, which was way too high..but they decided to check it again later because they just assumed it was high because of my nerves whenever they did check it again though my blood pressure dropped super low..after they gave me the benedryl though they told me it was supposed to open my throat back up but I didn't feel a difference and I just felt my throat getting tighter so they gave me epinephrine and after this incident my mom never really took me back to the allergy doctor..I kind of just accepted that I'm probably going to have to live the rest of my life with these allergies but I wanted to know if there was anything else we could do... 😌

I had to have my starting dose lowered twice. I didn't even have as bad a reaction as you! I only had a big red area around the injection.

I also have two shots a week.

I would ask to go back to the allergist, because the immunotherapy injections are the best way to stop the misery of your kind of allergies.

I had to have grass pollen added to my shots after a few years. You can become allergic to new things any time. You can also lose allergies over time. Many people who get the shots weekly are able to get the shots every two weeks after a while and some even only take them monthly - so there's hope!

Poppie is right. You should go back. You don't have to live like this feeling so miserable.
They know a lot about adjusting what's in the shots. Each of us is different. And what you need may change over time.
I've taken shots for over 10 years and it took a while to figure it out. I had a really bad experience early on, much like what you described. But they got me on track and my quality of life improved. There are also other medications that may help you - stronger than Benadryl, like Xolair (which has helped me a lot), and antihistamines that won't make you sleepy as well as nasal sprays that may help you. So plenty of reasons to try again and be hopeful.
