Last Monday my allergies flared up. Burning eyes, runny nose, productive cough. No fever and all drainage clear. Sometime during the day yesterday the bacteria moved in and set up housekeeping Still no fever, but lots of drainage and it's all green now. I don't feel too awful. but I've lost my voice completely today. We're out of town visiting relatives, which should be pleasant. All in all, right now I'd just rather be at home.
Taking Mucinex to help keep my chest clear, plus my usual Zyrted and Advair inhaler. I'll be okay, it's just such a bummer that this comes along just in time to ruin my vacation.
End of whine. Thanks for the listening post.

Sorry you're sick! And on vacation! Away from home! Turn your whine into wine!

Finally home. Everything peaked yesterday while we were driving, and today I feel like I just might live. I managed to enjoy the visit despite the challenges, but haven't been able to speak above a whisper for 4 days now.

Today I can finally reliably produce an audible voice. Husky, but audible. I saw my PCP Thursday, got a shot of Rocephin and a prescript
ion for Zithromax, which I finished today.
Just a reminder for all of us to respect those allergy attacks and take care of ourselves.
