Hi all, new here, although I turned here when I started having anxiety attacks in November 2012. Quick background: always anxious growing up, but thought it was just how I was. Had 1st panic attack mid November 2012, thought I was dying. ER gave vistaril, which did not help me. Was then given .5 Xanax until I saw primary care. We tried Sertraline 25mg for 13 days but I was waking every night with trembling hands. Stopped Sertraline. Now I'm in my 6th week of Buspirone and have been great, until a week ago. I started off taking 2.5mg twice a day, then after a week went up to 5mg twice a day and that's where I have stayed. On the start of the fifth week, I noticed unusual headaches. They seem to come more often when it is almost time for my next dose, like the medicine is wearing off. They are not like any headache I've ever experienced, and seem to bring anxiety with them. It's a bummer, since I have been attack free since I started the medicine. My question is, could these headaches be caused by the Buspirone since it finally reached a therapeutic level in my body? I am also taking Pennicillen for a tooth I need a root canal on. I have been seeing a therapist and learning CBT,which I highly recommend. My anxiety seemed to bring unwanted intrusive thoughts, so the CBT is very helpful there. I really don't want to give up on the Buspar, if the headaches will go away. My primary care really wants me to try Wellbutrin, but I've read bad things about that with Anxiety. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all for taking the time to listen, sorry if I rambled!
